Mac Makeover

Today I went to the Mac counter in the House of Fraser and had a consultation, I had to pay a £25 booking fee but that was redeemable back on any products I bought. I asked for a natural look i could wear every day using different eye shadows but I just ended up trying different shades of brown.

The products which were used on me were:

Eyes

Prep + Prime eye in light
Eye shadows : Mulch, Woodwinked, Charcoal brown & Bisque
Eye kohl crayon in Teddy

Skin

Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 foundation in NC20
Select cover up in NC20
Blushcreme in Posey

Lips

Lip pencil in Dervish
Lustreglass lipgloss in Wonderstruck

I really liked the eye shadows, he applied the Bisque under my eyebrows as a highlighter and over my whole eyelid and then applied the Woodwinked all over my eyelid, then Mulch in the far corners to add some depth, he then applied the charcoal brown into the creases in my eyes to darken them some more for a more smoky eyed look. The kohl pencil was put along my top and bottom lashes and blended with the 217 blending brush. I thought this would look good for during the day and the evening as more kohl pencil would be added to darken up the eyes.

A primer was put all over my face and then he used the 189 face brush to apply the foundation all over my face, it had a lovely matt finish and an spf 15, this was good for my skin as it wasnt too heavy.I suffer from dry skin and this didnt cling to any patches on my face and it felt fresh. I didnt buy this though as yesterday I bought some elizabeth arden pure finish mineral powder foundation and I am going to use that up first. He then applied concealer around my eyesto cover any shadows, then a highlighter to the tops of my cheeks (sorry I havent got down what shade this was, but it was a pale pink colour), then the creme blush which I found a bit too much for me, I prefer a powder blush so I dont feel my face is clogged up during the day but it was a lovely colour and I would wear it without the layer of foundation underneath it.

During this I kept on my own mascara, which is the Max Factor False lash effect in Black which I also LOVE.

This all took about 30mins and I went on to buy:

Eye shadows in Mulch and Woodwinked, kohl pencil in Teddy,Paint pot in Blackground and a 217 blending brush for the eye shadows. I would recommend the brush, it is very soft and makes the eye shadow blend into your eyelid smoothly and gives a really nice finish.
