Weight loss challenge week 3

So its week 3 of Cats weight loss challenge and the task was to do two exercises for 30 minutes each. I do exercise quite alot anyway but the last few months this had dropped down from daily to a few times a week, but this week I have really got back into it, I have been to the gym as well as using my treadmill on an average on half hour a day,

and I have been using the wii fit alot too, even if it has just been to do the free stepping thing while I watch hollyoaks or something, so I would say the past week or so I have been doing atleast 45mins of exercise a day on top of going to work where I move around alot so have been doing quite well on that front!

I have also been doing a 6min pilates video of abs exercises and attempting to do sit ups the past few days, Im not too sure im doin them right tho, any tips on how to do them right?

Weight Loss week 2

This weeks challenge was to post a photo of myself which I like, I had to go through all my facebook photos as my laptop has broken and been sent off to be fixed so I didnt have any on my old one to choose from so this took a while lol. I chose this one which was taken on a night out in about october 2009 with uni friends as I was really happy that night and in a good place, I look a bit demented cos we were trying to climb on my car for a photo and falling back off but it makes me smile,

I have been trying to exercise more this week, I cleared off my treadmill as for the past few months it had been storing clothes and things and I have been using it most days and I went to the gym more this week so Im getting there with the whole getting back into exercise thing :)

Weight loss

Here is my post on challenge one of Cat's weight loss challenge. This was too tell 3 things which I currently love about myself.
Heres mine:

My eyes, I love the colour, they are green and the shade seems to change quite frequently which always amazes me.
My shoulders and chest is quite slender and seems to stay like this however much weight I put on so I guess I like this area.
That my confidence is definatly getting better these days, I used to be the most shy person, Im still shy but not too that extreme anymore :)

I know the challenge was supposed to start today but I will admit I had a dominos pizza this evening, I have had a horrible weekend as my grandma died yesterday so I decided a deserved a final treat before I got started. So I will start properly tomorrow :) x

This is abit different to my normal post but I have noticed alot of other bloggers have been posting about their plans to shape up for the new year and Cat is having a weight loss challenge over on her blog here! So I thought I would post aswell as having somewhere to put my plans and results will hopefully give me some extra motivation. Cat did suggest videos on progress as well but I am seriously the most shy person ever so i think Im going to stick to blog posts for the time being.

I am currently 5'4 and 8stone 5ish. I know that is not overweight but my weight seems to have been very up and down the last 5 months or so and I would like to stabalise it at a weight Im happy with and get fitter. I had a bad break up in august which saw me drop to about 8 stone 2, then I went back up to about 8 stone 10 as I got back to normal and then about a month ago I had a bad time again and again dropped down to about 8 stone 3. I feel more comfortable when I am these lower weights and would say that it is probably my ideal weight but I put weight on easily and have gone back to eating rubbish again and the weight is coming back on quickly, and it goes straight to my face which I hate and I feel very bloated alot of the time. I seem to be comfort eating at the moment which I can only relate to the fact my grandma has been very ill in hospital for a few months, I am eating a lot of sweets like haribo which is also giving me spots which is unusual for me so i am also going to drink alot more water. I do drink alot of water anyway as I like it and i always feel better when I get into a routine of drinking lots of water daily.

So my plan for shaping up is to cut out the sweets, chocolates and stuff and to stop picking at things in between meals, and also to stop eating so many take aways as I seem to eat them more than I eat at home these days! I will go to the gym more than the once I week I seem to have dropped down too and get back into using my treadmill and wii fit at home as before I went on holiday this year I was using both daily and seeing good results.
I have also been walking home from work quite alot the last few weeks due to the snow making it pretty impossible to drive my car without killing myself. it is about 2 and a half miles and I have found I quite enjoy the walks, its quite calming and I feel good after doing it, so I am going to try and keep this up and walk home from work atleast once or twice a week even after the snow has finally gone.

Happy new year everyone :) This is a quick post about my new years resolutions for 2010, more something for me to look back at and see if iv achieved anything i guess.

So here they are:

To actually go to all my classes and lectures this term instead of

going back to bed when my alarm goes off!

2. To start revising in atleast march!

3. To go to the gym atleast 3 times a week!

4. To find a job i will love for after I graduate.

5. To stop letting my ex get to me, never gonna move on properly if I dont.

6. To meet some one nice and stop wasting time with idiots like I seem to enjoy doing at the moment!

I know none of them are particularily interesting but I cant think of much else.

I went out last night and had a great night, I did take my camera out but I completely forgot about it so only actually took 3 photos all night and only ended up with one of myself. you cant really see my make up but I had used st moritz fake tan for my body and xen tan luxe on my face and both came out really well so I felt nice and brown, my make up was pretty basic, just lots of mascara, bit of black eye liner, coralista blush and a highlighter.

Favourites and xmas gifts

So I havent blogged since about september :( alot changed and I went back to uni and have alot of work to do, so I kind of lost interest for a while, I have been still keeping up with all your blogs though. Iv had the urge to do a post for a while now and have a free evening so here it is :)

I thought I would start with showing you some of the products which I love right now.
First is Benefit Coralista blusher which I won in a blog giveaway a few month ago and I absolutely love it!! I will definatly be buying it again when it runs out, although I have been using it daily and I still have loads left so hopefully that wont be any time soon!
I also love the 17 Instant glow bronzing powder in light, I have been using this for atleast 6 month and its definatly the best bronzer for me and its pretty cheap at about £3.50 in boots so Im really happy with it!

I tend to use my E.L.F powder brush most with my face products, if not then I use one of my elizabeth arden kabuki brushes.

Next, are 2 lip products that I have been using alot, on the left is No7 sheer temptation lipstick in Smoulder 30, It looks really red but it is very sheer and just gives a lovely colour to the lips without looking to drastic and its perfect for everyday or for a night out! On the right is an e.l.f mineral lipstick which cost me £3.50 in nicely nude, i was expecting a nude lipstick when i ordered this, but its more pink and im glad as I love it, just right for wearing anytime.

Here are 2 collection 2000 mascaras I use at the moment, the waterproof volume sensation in black which I have been using since august and the longer lash false lash effect mascara in ultra black which I have been using a few weeks! both of these were about £3 each and they are amazing for the price. Before buying these I was using the max factor false lash effect mascara which was really good but I definatly prefer these 2 for the price as they work just as well and I would definatly recommend them!

Also thought I would show you a few beauty bits I got for xmas, I didnt get much this year as there is alot going on as my grandma is very ill in hospital so everyones been to preoccupied for xmas so I was pleased to just get a few bits my mum had managed to pick up as I wasnt expecting anything :)

She got me the no7 colour collection which comes with a make up bag, purse, mirror. eyeshadows in comet, vivid violet, midnight blue, twilight, light shade and organza, lipstick in cameo, sheer temptation lipstick in entice. Translucent face powder, high lights illuminating powder in island glow, and natural blushes in petal and soft damson.

Its really lovely and the pallettes have special holes in the tops so they can fit in the make up bag like a folder!

She also got me a soap and glory gift set which includes the flirtigo spray on body moisturising mist which smells gorgeous!!, long distance shimmer and a sexy motherpucker lipgloss in a lovely pink which Im yet to use.

Lastly here is my dress for new years eve, I got it for £10 in the sale at Internationale today, Itas quite short so Im debating wearing tights but Ill see how cold it is tomorrow. Im not sure what to do with my make up or hair yet, any ideas about what will go well with the dress would be great :)

Im not sure on my shoes yet either, I dont want to go really high as there is still alot of snow and ice around where I live and Im pretty sure snow, ice and platforms dont mix very well, especially not when your drunk! I got these boots in the sales at New look on boxing day, they were reduced from £50 to £25 and I am considering wearing them with the dress, but Im not sure if they match very well :/

New lip products

Lately I seem to be buying a lot of lip products, untill I started reading blogs I didnt own any lipsticks but now I love them and they are fast becoming one of my fave peices of make up!
Recently I have bought quite a few and here they are:
Left to Right, (Back), w7 Apricot Brandy, Maybelline Color sensational in 112 Ambre Rose, Bourjois lovely rouge in Rose Essential, Natural collection sheer natural lip colour in Sorbet, Natural collection moisture shine lipsticks in Crimson and Candy mist.

Id have to say that one of my faves is the w7, its such a natural lovely colour and only cost £1 from T J hughes and another would be the maybelline ambre rose, its such a gorgeous colour and lasts for ages. I got this one on offer at Boots as part of the new range. Im keen to try out some of the other colours, I was having a look today and there is another in Hollywood red which looks lovely.

I got the natural collection lipsticks today on a 3 for 2 offer so I got all 3 for £3.90 in Boots! I really wanted a wearable red lipstick as being fair skinned I find dark colours very draining and Im hoping with abit of fake tan the crimson one will work out for me! Going to go back and get 3 more tomorrow I think as I have over £5 in points and there were quite a few more of their lipsticks which I liked.

Hiya everyone, so firstly I want to say sorry for this being my first post in 2 weeks! I have been going through a horrible time having split up with my boyfriend who I was with for 3 years and I havent felt up to doing anything! So my first post is about my older sisters wedding which I was a bridesmaid at on saturday 29th august! I am loving collection 2000 so much at the moment, its so cheap but works so well, the sheer moist foundation is amazing for me as it just feels so smooth and covers my eczema where as other brands just seem to stick to it, and the volume sensation mascara is amazing too, just as good as the false lash effect I usually use, I have since bought this in the normal non waterproof version too!

Hope this wasnt to photo heavy and boring :)

nail polishes and new blush

Today I used my no 7 £5 voucher in Boots to get one of the Stay perfect nail colours in 95 which is Sunset, its a lovely red, really wanted something that will be nice through autumn and winter rather than the brights I have been wearing alot over summer and this seems perfect, I think I only had to pay about an extra £1.50 for this so was a bargain really :)

I also got a top coat from a make up stall, this one is Sally Hansen maximum growth quick dry top coat, I dont have a top coat and this was only £2 so had to get this, hopefully will be having less chipped nails from now on and this claims to dry colour in 30 seconds!

Also on the make up stall I saw a selection of gorgeous blushes from the make w7 which is all pretty cheap, these were silky blush, and they all looked gorgeous! there was a selection of 4 colours and I got mine in 02, which is more of a peachy pink, looks very pale on my photo and the swatch is rubbish but its so nice! and this was only £2.99, there was a lovely rosey pink too and I want that one next time I am in Bury.
This feels really creamy and smooth and I cant wait to use it! looks more expensive than it is too, it came in a box then inside a small velvetly pouch which I thought was a nice touch! Have never seen these before anywhere else so I was impressed!

Here is my nail of the day, I got this sally hansen polish from T J hughes a while ago for £1.99 when my nails were looking bad and I wanted to paint them in work but never got round to it. It is Hard as wraps in Mauve creme. The bottle says it contains acrylic gel and nylon to help them last longer! Im not sure Im too keen on the colour, its a bit plain and quite a dull pink but it seems a good quality!

I also got a few bits from elf when my sister recently placed an order, I got 3 things from the normal range for £1.50 each. I got the foundation brush, I havent used this yet but it seems good enough, its soft and I am looking forward to using it tomorrow!
I also the 2 nail polishs, 1 which is a new one to the website called chocolate, which I must say doesnt look much like the swatch in the bottle, Its a really dark brown and I am interested to see how it looks when I use it. The second is in Light pink, which looks really pretty, I love the bottles too from elf with the detail of the polish spilling over the sides, its cute.

This is the chocolate nail polish, I was hoping it might be a similar cheaper alternative to the nails inc jermyn street I have been using recently but unfortunatly its nothing like it, its alot more of a rich dark brown :(

On another note, I tried doing a french braid in my hair today, I have had this done by a fried before but this was my first attempt and it took me loads of tries to get it even resembling a plait, and this is the finished attempt below, has anyone got any tips on how to do this better as I really like how it looks when done properly. I had to use lotsa clips cos my fringe was poking out, when my friend did it this didnt happen so not sure how to sort this out either?

Also, sorry it looks greasy, havent been anywhere today and I was just trying to do it at home.
Any ideas would be great!

1)I reallly love reading, I have the equivalent of w h smith in the corner of my room haha, really should get some kind of storage or sell some or something.

2) I have the worst motivation to do revision and things like that at uni, I leave things then have to cram and feel rubbish instead of planning properly!

3) I love making shopping lists, makes shopping more fun for me for some reason!

4) I dont like dogs much, I used to love them and really wanted one but recently I find them really scary, my grandma has a labrador which wants to jump up all the time which I hate!

5) I dont like using cutelry or plates, cups etc in cafes and other peoples houses, dont like thinking about other people using them, :s.

6) I have an obsession with smints, not sure why, just eat so many and have done for years.

7) I am a rubbish swimmer, not sure why as I had lessons all the time when I younger but Im really crap! when I go swimming I always feel like the lifeguards are judging my swimming skills which makes me even worse haha.

This is the Nails Inc Jermyn street which I got free from the notw offer, I put this on a few days ago with 2 coats and I love it, even my sister has knicked it cos she likes it so much too! It looks a bit weird in my photo, but its a really nice creamy brown, this went on really well but I have to say it chipped really easily at work today, and now I have 2 fingers with half of it missing and I havent really done to much, I will be reapplying so hopefully it will last abit longer next time. I dont think that I would ever pay full price for a Nails Inc polish though.

I recently won 1st prize in a giveaway on the lovely Elle's blog and my prizes arrived today! I got the sleek storm palette, a barry m dazzle dust in 58 which is such a pretty pink (sorry just realised you cant see it in the photo), gosh lipstick in darling and a mac lipstick in hue!
I love hue so much already, I think its going to be my fave lipstick, its a nudeish pink, very wearable!
This is a close up of the storm palette, the colours are so gorgeous, there is a mix of neutrals, mostly with shimmer but a few matte ones too, perfect for using everyday and I cant wait to play around with those!

So on to the bargains I got today whilst out in town after work....

I wasnt going to spend any money today but I couldnt resist, the plan was to avoid boots as I cant help it in there but then my mum went in to get a prescription and I remembered seeing a blog yesterday about a great free gift when you spent £5 on 17 products so I thought that wasnt too bad to spend and Id get more :) so I got the 17 skin perfecting shine free foundation in natural, this was about £5.37 and has spf 12 in it too, this seems good so far I put some on when I got home and seemed great, will use it properly tomorrow.

So on to the free gift! Its a palette called the 17 bronzed and gorgeous summer glow kit and it comes with 2 lovely neutral eye shadows, a bronzer, a lipgloss, a bronzing brush and a double ended eyeshadow applicator. I love the eyeshadows and the bronzer, they both seem really good, definatly worth £5 on its own Id say. so if you are considering buying anything from 17 make sure you take up this offer!

Here is a swatch of the foundation, Im very fair and this seems a good shade for me hopefully!

Also today my sister wanted to go to Ethel austins for some cheap baby clothes for my nieces doll, I didnt even know this shop still existed so I was suprised when I saw they sold makeup! I got 2 things for £1 each, a lip balm from a range called I love.. and its so yummy, the flavour is strawberries and milkshake and it smells sooo nice! its a big pot too! I also got a Rimmel wear maxx nail polish in 345 Pop apricot, which is pink with a hint of shimmer and coral, havent tried it yet but had to get it for £1!

1. What is your favorite item of clothing? I never used to wear dresses, I practically lived in jeans but now I love wearing dresses makes me feel girly, so dresses and leggings are my faves at the moment.

2. What are your biggest obsessions? It would have to be shopping for clothes and beauty products! I cant stop myself

3. Who inspires you? Im not particularly inspired by any person, I just try my best and hope that that will get me where I want to be in the future.

Free Nails inc polishes and hen night

My nails inc polishes finally call came, 1 came last week and the last yesterday so there was a big gap. These all cost £1 with the offer from a newspaper, sorry cant remember which it was, but Im abit confused as to why only one has the proper design on the bottle with the hands while the other two just look cheap.. Has anyone else noticed this on their bottles?
I got (left-right) China town, Jermyn street and basil street. They all seem like nice colours, I tried china town the other day and that seems a really nice bright shade and I think the other two will be really good for the winter, I will do a post when I have used them properly and can judge how good they are.

Also I know this has nothing to do with make up but I went out for my older sisters hen night on saturday night as she is getting married in just over 2 weeks on august 29th. I wasnt going to go as Im skint but my boyfriend decided he was going out so I went too, I had about 5 mins to get ready and luckily found a red dress as the theme was red devils. This is me on the right looking like crap with my 2 sisters, the one in the middle is the one who is getting married. Anyway it was a fun night even though I didnt drink much as I get awful hangovers, but my fave bit was getting to wear my most favourite shoes!

I got them from T K Maxx last year for about £40 and they are Betty Jackson Studio and I love them so much, they are a lovely dark blue and are really high but also really comfortable as they have a bit of a platform at the front so I can walk properly in them..

I love them!

Finally, I know this post has gone on about alot of random crap but I just had to show you my new bag from Debenhams which I have got for uni, it was £30 and its a pale blue, for some reason this photo makes it look really dull but its lovely in real life I promise, its medium size and has handles plus a strap so tyou can wear it over your body which is what I wanted as I hate carrying heavy bags and getting dead arms. Im actually really looking forward to going back to uni, Im at that stage of the summer where Im bored and I actually feel like coursework and stuff would be interesting but I know Ill be hating it within a few days when I go back! I have even bought a pack of pens from wilkinsons ready for going back, this was £2 for them all! highlighters and everything!

I read so many good things about Lush on all your blogs and I have been wanting to go for ages but the nearest store is in Manchester I think and I never make it down there, so when I spotted one in the trafford centre earlier this week I went straight in. I hardly had any money and I think I was abit overcome by the smell but I loved it and walked around amazed at all the things for awhile, but I only got 2 things..

I got a lovely face mask called Oatifix, it has oats and bananas in it and smells like flapjack! This is supposed to be really good for sensitive dry skin and when I mentioned to the sales girl that I had eczema on my face she said it would be great for me so I snapped this up for £4.95, I plan to use it this weekend as at the moment Im doing 7am starts at work and trying to get early nights as I have no energy for anything, Im so pathetic.

I also got a soap called Honey I washed the kids and this smells so nice, I showed it to my boyfriend before and he looked excited as he thought he could eat it, was very dissapointed when he found out it was soap haha, then he sat smelling it for 5 mins. I have heard this is good for dry skin so cant wait to try this out either, my block cost about £3.30.

I am definatly going to go back to Lush when I get some money to spare so has anyone any recommendations about which products are the best?

Yesterday I got a postcard thing through the post from boots saying that if you buy any 2 products (1 being skin care) from the clinique counter you could get a bag of summery freebies, I was all set to rush down there yesterday cos I love freebies but then I noticed it didnt start untill today. I sent my mum down today to get me the full size versions of the face wash and clarifying lotion that I got in the 3 step routine with my dramatically different moisturizing lotion. I used these for about 2 weeks and my skin was really clear and I had been meaning to buy them so this seemed the perfect time.

The liquid facial soap (left) in extra mild was £13, and a Huge 400ml clarifying lotion was £23, was quite shocked at the size really. so I spent £36 and got...

This is my first outfit of the day, sorry about the crappy photo quality, without the flash they didnt come out properly so now I have no face!

Today I wore blue cardigan from primark (£8), plain white vest top from primark (£1.50, under grey top), grey top from primark (reduced to £3!!!!), Jeans from river island (£15 in sale) and black shoes with gold studded detail from primark (£8)

I love the top, its so pretty and has lovely detailing around the collar (as in bottom photo) and I couldnt believe it when I got this for just £3, Its pretty see through on its own though so I have to wear it with just a plain little top underneath but its so pretty!

1. Barry M 305 Pink flamingo - I love this, gorgeous colour that stayed put for ages!

2. Collection 2000 hot looks in BMX bandit - really creamy purpley blue colour which looks so nie and got loads of compliments, really good consistency, amazing especially for the price.

3. 17 lasting fix nail polish in tropical island - this is my absolute fave, gorgeous coral colour which goes on really smooth and lasts ages without chipping :)

I have had a rubbish day and just had to write about it as my boyfriend is being useless and watching football instead!

Firstly work was busy and drove me mad enough as I spent hours having to do jobs which arent mine just because one woman likes to feel like shes alot more important than she is!
Then came home and arranged to go the trafford centre with my older sister to cheer myself up by helping her buy things for her wedding at the end of the month, got up to her house for my niece to point out that my car had a scratch on it, got out and saw not just a scratch but the whole back corner of my car smashed in!!!!!!!! I hadnt noticed as I have hardly driven it since last week and got in my car in a rush to go out but its really bad, my sisters fiance is a mechanic and he reckons it will be hard to fix as its really caved in. Rang my insurance and was told that as I have no details about who did it to claim with and with me being under 21 it will cost me £400 in excess to get fixed! plus id lose my no claims, I think its so unfair that I would have to pay that when in no way was this my fault, it has only been parked outside my house! I already had to pay excess of £150 and lost 2 years no claims in march this year when it was broken into when I was at work so I cant believe its happening again!

Im going to get my brother in law to see what he can do or get some quotes from some garages and see if I can avoid using my insurance as then I know it will jump up loads when I renew it in september after making 2 claims so close together.

So yes a bad day :( never made it to the trafford centre either!

If anyone made it this far, sorry for moaning, just thinks its all really unfair :(

small haul and prize

Here is a quick post to show you a few things I have bought recently, since this I have cut up my credit cards cos I found I was buying things every time I went out which i really didnt need just because the cards were there so no more pointless buys now.

I got 2 face creams from wilkinsons which are the olay aqua physics night and garnier fresh essentials hydrating day care, love the day one, smells so fresh and fruity!
I got another collection 2000 hot looks nail polish in Hoola hoop which is a gorgeous creamy pink, cant wait to use this, this was £1.74 from wilkos and a new lip gloss from the love your lips range in 6 Adore which has SPF 20 and is just a levely natural pink when on, this was about £2.80 I think. Also from there I got some false eyelashes for 99p, they come with glue but I wont be using it as I imagine it wont be much good.

From primark I got a lip balm which is the little red one near the middle this was 50p and it seems to look and feel exactly like the vaseline rosy lips does. I also got a pack with 2 glitter dusts in, one is a lovely bronze and the other silver for 50p, used the silver today and its really nice on. From the newer beauty ranges there I got a mango lip balm which is very moisturising and smells lovely too! this was 99p.

From debenhams I got the clinique super city block in spf 40, this is described as an oil free daily face protector. Im not really sure why I got this, it was one of those duty free price offers at £11 something and the clinique woman started telling me about it and I find it very hard to say no once they get started and before I knew it Id bought it, It seems to make a good base for my make up though so hopefully I will get round to using it.

Finally is a mango and papaya body butter. I got this for £1.97 from superdrug and its gorgeous smelling and feels so nice on, love it!

I also recently got the nivea visage young tinted moisturiser but I forgot to put it in the photo, this was half price at superdrug and was about £2.50 and I have found it to be alot better than the normal nivea tinted moisturiser for me, Im not sure what the difference is but this doesnt seem to cling to my dry skin as much and I think the colour is abit more wearable, definatly be rebuying this!

Also just wanted to show you my prize which I recieved from Michelle at Lipstick rules, I won this in her giveaway a while ago, I recieved 3 lip products from a canadian brand called Annabelle, a red lipstick, a frosty pink gloss and a peachy gloss, they are all gorgeous so thank you so much for this :)

Im off to go swimming now as part of my quest to be healthy, but Im a pathetic swimmer so this should be interesting!

E.L.F studio

Last week I made an order from the new elf studio range, I went abit mad to get the free postage, so all this came to about £35 I think.

Firstly from the brushes I got the powder brush, the complexion brush and a fan brush. I have been using the powder brush everyday since I got it to just apply my bronzer and other powders and I LOVE it, so soft and gives an even finish! The complexion brush is also very good but I havent used the fan brush yet, not really sure why I bought this, not really sure what to do with it :/

Next, is the under eye concealer and highlighter which I love, I got the fair one and its just right for my pale skin tone, the highlighter is great too. I got the lip primer and plumper but Im not impressed with this at all, when I got it the plumper end was all in the lid broken off as if it had somehow melted and then when I tried abit it stung my lips so badly liek I was being stabbed so Im not sure what happened there! Lastly the eyebrow liner and filler in the darkest shade, this is really good, makes my brows look really thick and perfect :)

Next, I got the contouring blush and bronzing powder, I havent used this much yet but both colours are really lovely. I also got the complexion perfection compact, I havent seen much difference from using this but I did read on a blog earlier that it works better when you use each section on its own rather than just using a brush and swirling them all together like the box says so maybe Ill give that a try.

Lastly I got the warm bronzer and I can honestly say this is amazing for me, the best bronzer I have had, makes me look lovely and lightly tanned rather than orange, so if you have a pale skin colour and find that bronzers tend to look orange on you then give this a try!

I also got a few bits from the normal elf range for £1.50 each, I got a clear top coat nail polish, 2 nail polishes in nude and coral (which is so gorgeous), the individual lashes which I have no idea how to use (any tips would be welcome :) ) and a mineral lipstick (£3.50) in the nude shade but its alot more pink than nude but still a lovely colour which I think I actually prefer to a nude.

Overall Im very impressed with what I got and am already considering ordering abit more as I want to try the golden bronzer and I want the false eyelash applicator that comes with the studio range ones.

Garnier pure active range

About 4 weeks ago I was sent 4 products from the Garnier pure active range to try out, I recieved the spot roll on, blackhead clearing scrub, deep pore unclogging wash and the moisturisor. This range claims to get results from day 1 and contains 2% purifying Salicylic acid and herbasoothe and claim to help fight spots and fade marks. I tend to get a few spots at certain times of the month and when I eat alot of sweets and chocolatey things so I was keen to use these products.

I had already myself bought the spot roll on (bottom picture) so when I recieved another I gave this to my mum to try out. I have been using these products since I recieved them and thought this a good amount of time to get a proper idea of how they work for me.

I did find that when I was using the wash and moisturisor daily after about 5 days I broke out so I cut them out of my regime untill my skin cleared and then began using them every few days rather than my normal face products and they worked really well this way. I have dry sensitive skin so I think daily use may have just been too much for me.

I love the roll on the most, redness went very quickly and spots cleared up alot faster than normal, my mum and my boyfriend both agreed after using the roll on and my sister then bought her own and she loves it too.

The mositurisor seemed to definatly work well aswell, I had a spot on my chin about 2 months ago and for ages afterwards I was left with a red mark and within a week this had finally gone!

I would definatly recommend this range to people, but just warn to be careful with your usage depending on your skin type :)

Just a quick NOTD, last night I used the Collection 2000 hot looks in BMX bandit which is a gorgeous creamy blue/purple, I love this colour so much and it went on so smoothly as this polish has a great brush which makes application really easy! In 2 different shops today I was asked by the women serving me what nail polish it was as they liked it so much and neither could believe it would only cost them about £1.50! cant wait to test the other ones I have from this range now!

Heres just a bit of an update:

I have a few posts to do tomorrow, a review on some products from the garnier pure active range which I was sent to try out and a post on my huge order from e.l.f which consists of both the studio range and some stuff from the regular range.

I am also planning on a bit of a diet, well not so much a diet but just making an effort to not eat as much crap as I do, like for example this week I have had a curry, chippy, dominos, and not only is that making me bloated and feel crap but its bloody expensive! I have a treadmill and the wii fit so going to make more of an effort to use them both and drink more water from tomorrow.
I also want to say sorry for the lack of posts but I am back at work now and last week I found out that my mum is ill, not quite sure how serious yet but will be finding out next week after another scan so I have been feeling really down and upset and not up to posting but I am feeling abit more calm now so hopefully things will be ok :(

Also I now have 50 followers!!! Thank you so much, I love reading blogs so much and am so glad people think mine is worth reading, I will have to do a contest soon, I will plan one as soon as I have some money to spare!

NOTD and nail polish storage

Today I used the Barry M flamingo pink nail paint for the first time after ordering it off their website, I love the colour, its a corally pink and is so pretty but Im not too sure on the polish on a whole as it took a few coats to get full coverage and then it took forever to dry, definatly going to use it again though as I love the colour so much!!
I also got this little set of drawers from wilkinsons for £2 recently, I was going to put my earrings and things in them but tonight I decided to use it for some of my nail varnishs. It wasnt big enough for all of my bottles but I had fun organising the ones I wanted in it :)

This is the drawers closed! bargain for £2 and there were a few other patterns too.

Also from wilkinsons I got these collection 2000 nail varnishs, which are (l-r) BMX bandit (blue), Wham (grey) and Button moon (light creamy green). I think they are all such nice colours and with my discount only cost me about £1.20 each!! The button moon is more or less exactly the same as the Barry M mint green aswell!

Small Barry M haul

After reading on Hele says blog about the new Barry M nail paint in pink flamingo I just had to order it as its the nicest colour and I got a few more bits too.

Below are: (l-r: 305 pink flamingo £2.95, 180 marine blue £1.50, NPP1 limited edition free with code Lollipop26)

I LOVE the pink flamingo one its gorgeous and cant wait to get it on, its almost like a corally shade and its so pretty, the blue was in the clearance section and is very shimmery and almost metallic, and tht other pink was free with the code lollipop26 at the checkout, I already got this with the barry m things I got for subscribing to More magazine but I thought if its free I might as well gte another :) Its similar to the bright pink one but more wearable I think.

I also got the lip paint in 147 peachy pink as have seen this on alot of blogs and thought it looked such a pretty colour, I think this was around £4.
I saw this natural collection lipgloss in fondant on http://blondieprincessx0.blogspot.com/2009/07/natural-collection-makeup-pictures.html and had to have it, I got it with some of my boots points and Im not sure how much it cost but only about £2, its such a pretty orangey pink and it smells quite sweet. Im going to try this over the top of the 147 and see how that looks too as the lip gloss doesnt have that much colour on its own.

kiss french manicure pen

I mentioned that I had used this pen in another post but without a top coat so I tried it again and used the Sally Hansen hard as nails clear polish on top and this has lasted really well except from on my thumb where a bit chipped and I ended up peeling it off :/. I found it really hard to get the pen to give me a tidy line though, the first time I used some french manincure stickers but this time I hadnt any left and I struggled to keep them neat, has anyone got any tips for getting a tidy french manicure look?
I think this pen is good as long as you use it properly and it has lasted the past 4 days really well with just one top coat on!

Just a quick mention of another nail polish I finally got round to using. It is a rimmel one in goldspun coral. I bought this to use on my holiday but never used it untill last week and I really didnt like it, the colour wasnt as nice as I was expecting and it didnt really have a good consistency. It didnt cost much, only about £2.50 from wilkinsons but I doubt I will be using it again.

Favourite reads

I saw this post on victorias blog: http://lilyloveslola.blogspot.com/2009/07/favourite-reads.html and thought it was a great idea! so I have been through the books I have in my room at the moment and picked out the best, I have 6 instead of 5 as I couldnt choose between them.

1. Where rainbows end by Cecelia Ahern - I loved this book so much, It is set over years and years right from the 2 mains characters childhoods right through to old age and it is such a lovely story, I wont give the story away but I would definatly recommend this book, its one of my faves!

2. Lucky by Jackie Collins - This book follows a character called Lucky Santangelo and is part of a large series I think, Its full of money and sex and crime and mystery and it really drew me in!

3. The virgins lover by Philippa Gregory - This is again part of a series which the film the other Boleyn girl came from. I have read them all now and they are all really good, I would say that the best is actually one called The Queens fool but I couldnt find my copy anywhere. They are all full of scandal and are amazingly well writen!

4. The Secret of Crickley Hall by James Herbert - I got this book from a £2 bookshop in Huddersfield as I fancied something new and hadnt ever read many horrors and Im so glad I did. I scare easily when it comes to ghosts and things that make noises in the night so this book had me scared to the point where I couldnt even go to the toilet in the dark lol! Its a really goodstory and really is soo scary and I even found it quite upsetting at points as there is a sad issue within the family. I have since read alot of James Herbert books and some of them are quite confusing but others I would recommend are the magic cottage, and the Fog which I enjoyed alot too.

5. Daddys girls by Tasmina Perry - Full of sex, scandals and celebrities! I found it so hard to put this book down and I was quite upset when I finished it. It is about 4 sisters who are all suspected of killing their wealthy father and I really didnt want to put it down!

6. Angel by Katie Price - I know she probably didnt actually write her books but I got this when it first came out quite a few years ago and I loved it straight away. Its about a young girl becoming a model and getting caught up in the celebrity world and I have read this many times since and I still enjoy it as much. I have also really enjoyed all of the other books she has written such as Angel uncovered and Crystal and there is one out the end of this month which I am going to buy too!

I bought a few new books from Sainsburys at the weekend which were Sins by Penny Jordan and The host by Stephanie Meyer so Im going to be reading these next as I just finished my last book (The last to know by Melissa Hill - good but abit complicated)

This is a nail polish by 17 in Lilac storm. I applied this last night and I love the colour and a few people have commented on how nice it is today but I have to say Im not that keen on the actual product. It seemed different in consistency from the other 17 polishes I have used and didnt spread very well and it took ages to dry, after about 15mins part were still wet and lumpy which I was unimpressed with to say this is one of their 'fast finish' polishes.

I do love the colour though, has any one got any suggestions on a similar colour by a different make which is a better quality?

St Moriz & few other bits

Today I finally bought some of the St. Moriz fake tan, It has been in the local T J hughes for ages but I kept stopping myself as I have so much fake tan, but I have read so much good reviews about this product that I couldnt put it off any longer :) so I got it for £2.99 today, Im quite tanned from my hols so Im not planning to use it at the moment but Ill do a review when I do use it in the next few weeks.

I also picked up a 2 in 1 cleaner from the new boots vitamin e range I mentioned in another post, this was £2.99 and my fave simple cream was reduced to £3 for the big bottle at superdrug.

I also picked up this sally hansen no more mistakes corrector pen as I am quite bad at putting nail varnish on and I get a bit messy so this is a good idea for me. This was £1.99 from T J Hughes. I also got another 17 nail polish. Its a gorgeous purple called Lilac storm and I cant wait to try it out later.

Next up is the Prestige skin loving minerals bronzer in Glam Tan. I have been looking at these for so long but I could never decide which I wanted but today I finally decided on this one. Its really shimmery but when I tried it before it seemed nice on but that was on top of my normal bronzer so Im hoping this looks ok when I try it tomorrow on its own.

This is a swatch of the glam tan, pics crap cos with the flash it didnt show up at all for some reason yet without it looks really dark and dull.

1. Barry M Touch of Magic lip paint : This is on the barry m website and looks interesting, it says on there : "A waterproof formula with added Aloe Vera stays on for up to 8 hours. Depending on the alkali level of your lips, determines just how pale or rich the colour will go." - I havent seen this in any shop yet, has anyone else seen it?

2. Barry M nail paint in Cyan Blue: I am planning on getting a blue dress for my sisters wedding in about 5 weeks and I really want this nail paint to go with it.

3. Barry M lip paint in Peachy Pink: I keep reading about how nice this is and I really want to buy it.

4. Estee Lauder gilded rose shimmer powder : I saw this on a blog and Im not even sure its avaliable in the UK but I think its gorgeous and I want it so much.

Mini boots haul

Just a small boots haul. I got the No 7 protect and perfect body serum as it was half price, There was an offer on if you spent over £20 you got a free gift (watch) so I got a skin illuminator in peach. I didnt realise untill I got it home though that its in a stupid bottle with a brush built in which I always find hard to use. This was £10.25 I think.

I also got a blush contour brush from Prestige, this was around £6, I was considering getting some of the sun baked bronzers but I couldnt decide which one to get so I left it, I really want one though so I will be going back.

I picked up the Kiss draw on french tip pen after seein it on Hele's blog, this was about £5 and I put it on a few nights ago but after a few hours It had all pretty much come off, I didnt put any thing on over the top of it as I had been in a rush so Im going to give this another go when I get some time to do it properly.

Boots also had a new vitamin e skin care range, I picked up the moisture day cream and the gentle eye cream with spf 15. I have been using these the last few days and I already love them, the cream feels gorgeous and the eye cream already seems to have lightened up my eye bags! these were £2.50 each and there was also a night cream and face wipes and a few other things all around this price so definatly worth checking out!

I also got the Dolce and Gabbana light blue perfume from Body care for £38.99, I meant to pick this up in the airport duty free but I forgot so I just got it there, I so love the smell of this, really fruity and fresh. This is a 100ml bottle so quite good price really! (sorry its sideways, forgot to turn it before I uploaded it)

No 7 prize

The other day I went into Boots to No 7 as I had read that the protect and perfect body serum was half price down to £12.50 so I got that and the sales woman asked if I wanted to enter a mini comp to find the best pout in the town so I agreed, she applied some no 7 lipstick and I kissed a piece of paper and gave her my details and then forgot about it as my print didnt even resemble a mouth really.
But yesterday they rang and said Id won and to collect my prize so here it is:

There are a few samples of the protect and perfect day and night creams and the intense beauty serum, 3 perfume samples, mini bottles of the soft and soothed gentle cleanser and the cleanse and care eye make up remover, and finally a limited edition rainbow eye palette.

Its got some nice colours in, I love the blues, Im looking forward to playing around with this.

I also went to sainburys yesterday, there isnt one near where I live so I was quite excited which sounds sad lol. I picked up 2 hair products by phil smith, one was the big it up shampoo and the other an xpanding thickening cream, this only cost me £2.99 as it was buy one get one free on the whole range. I havent used these yet but I plan to later.

I also got 2 pairs of earrings from the TU range which I thought were cute and only £2 each,

They also had a cargo stand and I was debating buying a blusher/bronzer but at £15 each I made myself walk away as I cant stop spending at the moment, but they looked good and I think Ill go back when I get some money.

Hey, thought Id do a post with a few photos from my holiday! As i have mentioned in some old posts I went to a town in Rhodes, Greece called Lindos, this was my 3rd time with my boyfriend Nick and this time we took my younger sister aswell. It s a gorgeous little town with no roads as its all preserved as it used to be with little white wash houses, so the main way of getting up the steep hilly paths is by donkey which I never did as I felt sorry for them in that heat especially with huge people on them :/

This first photo is me and nick on our first night going out for a meal,This was the beach that was right outside our apartment, such a nice view in the morning :)

Lindos has 3 beaches, a main one, a smaller one and this one which is called st pauls bay, its proper picturesque when you see it, we never went on the beach or in the water here as the main beach was closest to where we were staying but I wish we had now.

I had a great time and I bet this is where I will end up booking for next year again!

Has anyone else ever been to Lindos?

Holiday buys and waterproof mascara

As I said in my last post I only got a few bits at the airport, I could of stayed forever but we got there later than planned so I didnt have much time for shopping :( I did get 2 things from Givenchy though. On the left is Prismissime mat and glow, It can be used as either eye shadows or a bronzer, Im using it as a bronzer just swirling my brush over all the shades and it works really well, This was about £26. On the right is Prisme again which is a blush/highlight. It has 4 different colours and they all blend well. This was about £16.

This is the packaging, I think it is limited edition: I love the smaller one.

On the left is the bronzer, there are shimmery blocks and matte blocks but they arent too dark for my skin tone. The blush has a darkish pink, a light browny shade, a peachy shade and a really light pinky white, the 3 lighter shade are what I have been using as a highlighter, and using the darker as a blush, I really love this so far.

Also, I bought the Max factor false lash effect in waterproof for my holiday which cost me about £11, then last week I got the wilkinsons Image waterproof mascara, which is 99p, as its 3 items for £2 and I needed an extra item and I have to say I am amazed by how good it was, the brush was great and it gave me really good volume and really did stay put! I didnt even touch the max factor mascara all week!! The photo below was with only one coat, It really gave me long curled lashes!

I will do a post later with a few holiday photos, Im just sorting through them now and theres alot to do

So Im off on holiday in the morning so thought I'd do one last post before I go. We are flying from manchester to Rhodes at 9.45am but its going to be a really long day, ages waiting in the airport, 4 hour flight, 1.5 hr transfer etc.. not looking forward to that bit but I am looking forward to the shopping in the airport, I have been saving abit to get some bits from mac and such so a post will be done on any buys when I get home!

Coral nail varnishs, basically anything coral at the moment, seems like abit of an obsession!

Simple derma intensive moisturisor! still live this lotion, works so well for me and keeps the eczema away!

Barry m 3 in 1 mascara - only used this for 2 days so far but it works almost as well as the false lash effect and is half the price, think I will be buying this from now on!

Going to the duty free shop in the airport! Cant wait!

Having no money :( when I get back from my holiday I need to save, save save.

Hayfever!! this came on the other day and now I cant breathe, have a runny nose 24 hours a day and my eyes are puffy and sore :(

As I mentioned in an older post, I subscribed to More magazine a few weeks ago and I got my freebies throught the post yesterday, £42 worth of Barry M products.

I recieved:

So far I have used the natural dazzle today for contouring, the mascara which I love already! and the coral nail paint which is pictured below, although I only put it on last night and Its already chipped quite abit but I have been doing alot at work which could explain this.

I also just wanted to show you these cute earrings I got from Asda, they were only £2.50 and they are dangly hearts made from little pearl like stones, so sweet. Sorry again that the photo is rubbish!!

NOTD and Avon

Hiya, sorry for the lack of posts, Im still without my laptop and working all hours before my holiday on wednesday!

So first up is my nail of the day, this is the 17 limited edition coral reef nail polish, this lasted 4 days with only one chip I got at work before I took it off, Im very impressed with the 17 polishes, have tried a few now and they last really well and the consitencys really good, I used the Sally Hansen nail treatment as a base and then 2 coats of this. Its quite similar to the tropical island shade I did a previous NOTD post on but this is more red where as the tropical island has more of an orange tone which I do prefer. Ill definatly be buying more 17 polishes especially when they are only a few quid! I also got a delivery from Avon the other day. I ordered no make up, just body and hair products.

On the far left is a moisturisor for dry skin, its a huge bottle and was reduced to £2.50, this is quite good, but I still prefer the simple derma one as its thicker, this one was abit more watery but still good value!

Next to that is a root boosting spray. Again was about £2.50 i think, I used this after a shower yesterday with the sunsilk volume shampoo and my hair does seem bigger and better!

Ian the middle is this strawberry yogurt face mask, I used this a few nights ago for 10 mins and its lovely, smells gorgeous, and was very mositurising. I think this was only 99p.

Second to the right is a body illuminating cream, I used abit of this on my arm when I forst got it and it made me itchy so looks like I wont be using this again :(

Lastly is the am/pm cleansers, this is great, ones a refreshing wash for the morning and the others for taking your make up off at night. Its moisturising and I liked the smell of the am one!

I plan on ordering some make up from the latest avon book so watch out for more on that :)

New fake tan and earrings

So last night I tried out 2 new fake tans I got last week from T K Maxx, the face one on the left is the Clarins liquid bronze self tanning, I got this as I already had it in the intense and it gave a good colour but it was just too dark for me so when I saw this for £9.99 I had to have it, I applied it last night with cotton wool pads and its just a nice creamy liquid where as the intense one is a dark brown watery liquid. This morning I looked like I had a natural, healthy tan, even my mum who loves to comment on my orangeness told me how well it had worked!

The 2nd on the right is the Eau Thermale Avene moisturizing self tanning lotion which is in natural glow for sensitive skin, it says this is for face and body but I only used it on my body, This morning I had a few patchy bits but thats cos I rushed it last night but apart from that it seems really good, lovely colour on me and it didnt cause any reaction which most other fake tans do with me due to eczema and very sensitive skin.

This one cose £7.99 but also came with an aftersun which is pictured below, Im going to take this away with me as its for sensitive skin and Im hoping it will work better than the wilkinsons one I got free with my sun cream!

I also have to show these these amazing earrings (excuse the crappy photo, I ordered my memory card yesterday finally so good photos soon), these were £5 frm accessorize, I had seen these on a few blogs and had to have them, they are so pretty and I have been wearing them every day since I got them! they are my official new favourite earrings!!

make up and shoes !

Just a quick one to let you know about some things I bought yesterday, firstly I got these 2 natural collection lipsticks from boots, they are both the moisture shine ones, on the left is coral shimmer and the right is rose petal.
The first is a gorgeous mid dark pink with a shimmer but I love it and its totally wearable, I wanted one that would give me some colout without being too obvious and this is perfect and was under £2. The rose petal is a really pretty pink, when I first tried it though it broke apart, I think it had got too hot in my shopping bag so now its a bit bent :/

I also got another 17 nail polish, I am in love with the tropical island one I did a post about as a nail of the day, I am still wearing it now and everyone says they love it, this is a limited edition one from the new summer collection and its called coral reef, I havent used it yet but its abit more pink and darker than the other, looking forward to using it though and will post a photo in the next few days when I have.

Lastly, some shoes, these were half price down from £18 to £9 at peacocks, I think they are so nice! they are like a snake sin effect and a bluey purple colour, they also had them in tan and pink too!

Yes but Im pretty rubbish, last year in Greece I was flailing around thinking I was going to drown while my bf laughed at me, I dont know what happened cos as a kid I did lessons and got all my certificates and stuff so I dont get why I cant swim now as I always went reguallrly till i was a teenager.

Nope, use my fingers usually

Im using the clinique dramatically different lotion right now and I love it, really moisturises my face and I never have a reaction to it, Its expensive but totally worth it cos the bottles a big one too.

Yep. my sisters busy planning to get married at the end of august and its really making me want a wedding!

Depends on the situation, I tend to get annoyed easily at my bf but he usually deserves it!

Shoes and a bit of shopping!

Hey everyone, so a few days ago I went into Manchester to do some shopping ready for my hols as Im working pretty much every day now untill I go away on the 8th. Firstly I want to show you the shoes I got as I love them both, These first ones are from Primark and were £9, they are the most gorgeous colour, the photo doesnt really show it 2 well but its a corally orange, I love this colour at the moment! the heels not too big and they feel comfy so Im pleased I got these as I had seen them on a blog before and thought they looked nice.

Second pair are these brown wedges from Faith, these were £35 down from about £65, I love them!

Also in primark, I got this black heart shaped bag for £4 to take away as its not too big to carry around, a tiny purse just to keep some money in for about £1.50 i think, again in a corally colour, and a smaller make up bag as mine is huge and would take up half my suitcase, I am going to go through it all and pick out the most important stuff and take it all in this smaller bag, this was about £3.

I got this peachy blush from Primark for £1, I wore this the last few days and its a really nice colour and good quality for primark too, there was a few different shades so Im going to get the others next time I go too! The eye shadows were about £2.50 from H & M, they are really shimmery and pigminted so looking forward to playing around with these!

I also got this little bow necklace from H & M, it was cheap about £1.99, and the clasp at the back has another small gold bow coming off it, I love it, wore it the other day and got loads of compliments about it!

Next up is the garnier body tonic firming lotion, I have been using the boots expert cellulite cream but after going through 2 lots I decided to use up all the other stuff I had such as the nivea goodbye cellulite before I spent any more money. that ran out last night and then I saw this in morrisons for just over £2.50 and remembered I had read about it being really good in a magazine the other day so I got this, Im not too keen on the smell but hopefully it will do the job.

Finally back to Primark, I got these little bottles and pots for 99p! Im going to put my cleanser and stuff in them to save space as I already cant shut my suitcase and Its not even packed fully! cant believe how cheap they were as later in boots I saw them selling one of the bottles for £1.49 on its own! It also comes with stickers to label your stuff which I thinks a good idea!

Lastly I got another wash off tan from Primark, £1.50 from what I can remember, they had a matte one and a shimmer one, I got the matt one and this is it below on my hand, It rubs in well and does leave a nice bronzed colour, but I dont think the tube would go far if using it on the whole body so I might go back and get some more before I go.

This gorgeous colour is from 17 at boots, it is a lasting fix nail polish in a limited edition coulour called Tropical island. I love it, its a corally orange colour and it went on really well and has lasted really well too, This came in a free gift bag avaliable when you buy 2 17 products, I got another vail polish in the shade pink lemonade, I havent used this yet but its a lovely colour, and I got the instant glow bronzing powder in light as all my bronzers seem too dark for my face at the moment so I felt I needed something lighter. Its a matte shade and so far so good. This was about £3 and the nail polish was also about £2.80.

This is the free gift, a small pink bag, a small 17 mirror and nail file, the tropical island nail polish and a metallic eye pencil, the colour says green but its blue so I dont know why it says that, its gorgeous and metallic, I used it yesterday just as a pop of colour and I really like it.

I buy more every week on a tuesday and have been considering getting a subscription for a while but then this week they were offering £42 worth of barry m make up as a free gift, it is £14.50 every 3 months but I would pay more than that anyway, Im really excited cos the stuff all looks good and I had been planning on buying a few of the bits like the bronzer and the mascara anyway. I did abit of shopping yesterday and firstly was this blush from Wilkinsons own range Image, it was £1.00, and I dont think the photo does it justice, it is the prettyist pale pink ever, I think it may even be better as a highlighter than a blush as on the skin it really is very pale but I just think its gorgeous. The wilkos range is actually quite good for the price, Ive had a few lipglosses before which were good and the mascara smells really nice, I didnt know mascara could smell nice but apparently so at wilkinsons..

Next I was back in T J Hughes yet again and they had a lot of new stuff in from N.Y.C (New york colour), I picked up this mineral foundation powder for £2.00 which came with a tiny little kabuki brush which isnt much use but its cute :). I got this is the shade natural light and its actually really good, I used it today instead of my Elizabeth Arden powder foundation and I couldnt tell much difference. It also has spf12 in it aswell!
The T J Hughes I went to only had this shade and a paler one which was a finishing powder, I plan to get this next time I go as that was also only £2 so worth a try.

There was also a few N.Y.C nail glosses for £1 each, I got 2, This is 241, and its a gorgeous metallic blue which is proper shimmery in the light, making it change colour, It also has vinyl shine and pro vitamin B5.

This 2nd one is 207, which is a nude pink shade which is lovely, have worn this today and I really like it. They are quite big bottles with a square block lid, and to make it easier to put the gloss on the square lid comes off to reveal a smaller more easy to use lid.

This is 207 on, Im not sure the photo shows it very well, really need to get a memory card for my camera so I can stop using the crappy one on my phone :(

About a week ago I bought this Sally Hansen maximum growth daily nail growth programme from Wilkinsons as it was half price, down to around £1.99, this is just a clear polish and I got this as my nails keep breaking after being ruined by the acrylics I had on.
The box states that this is powerful protection for short, problem nails to strengthen and make them grow. I have been using this since and my nails havent realy been breaking at all since so it must be having some effect, Im going to carry on using it for a while longer and I will do a post on the outcome soon.

Lacoste Touch of sun perfume - I Love this, cant find it in the shops anymore but they had it on the littlewoods website, need to check if they still have it as Im nearly out, its so summery and everyone always says I smell nice when I wear it.

Nail varnishes! since I took the acrylics off I have a new found love of painting my nails, have always been too lazy to do this regularly before.

Today was the results day at my uni, so had to be in Huddersfield at12pm to get them and I passed them all,so thats my 2nd year out of the way! just 1 to go!!

To say well done my mum bought me these 2 things from Lancome in the House of Fraser as they had a sale section,

The first being this bronzing brush which was reduced from £21.50 to £10.75, it has a really big handle but the bristles are really soft and good quality so I like it :)

And then a tinted moisturisor, it is called Aqua fusion teinte, continuously infusing tinted moisture spf 15, in the shade 1 - Naturel. Its the perfect shade for me as its quite light and works with my pale skin, looking forward to using this tomorrow. This was £23.50 down to £11.75 so a big drop in price! there was alot more stuff such as lipglosses and a few bronzers and eye shadow pallettes too so worth a look if you pass the house of fraser, too faced and a guerlain had alot of sale items too.

This is a bit of the tinted moisturisor on ym hand, not sure you can see it properly though cos of the flash.

I also popped into primark and they had a stand of the old make up all reduced to 50p so I got this duo eye shadow, the top is a gorgeous light goldy shimmery brown and the bottom is a lovely shimmery pale pink,

This is the brown (left) and pink (right) on my hand, definatly worth parting with 50p as the colours are soo nice.

Nail of the day

Here is my first attempt at a nail of the day. This is an orange polish I got from New Looks make up range Star Gazer, its in shade 103, Below are photos with and without a flash but my phone cameras pretty rubbish so you cant see the full colour on either but I think the top one gives the best idea of how it really looks, Its a lovely colour, great for summer, I have put on 3 coats yet I can still see the whites on a few of my nails which can be annoying but this noly cost about £3 so Im not too bothered.

This polish went on well and it seems good quality, I will let you know on a later post how well it lasts.

A few freebies and skin care products.

I read a blog a while back about a website offering freebies called www.latestinbeauty.com, so I checked it out and signed up, I had to pay £1 over a txt message to register my order and it says you recieve a goodie box with your choice of 3 trial products a month, my box arrived yesterday and I was expecting bigger products as on the website it shows them bigger but what I recieved are more like the testers you find stuck in magazines. Anyway, they came in this pink box below:

I recieved, 1) The Mary Kay timewise microdermabration set, which says it will fight fine lines, refine pores and smooth skin, there are 3 sachets of step 1 which is to refine and 3 ofstep 2 which is to replenish so Im going to give that a try tonight.

2) Mary Kay Creme lipstick in Apricot glaze, this is the little black packet, there are 2 tiny samples of it, I havent opened them yet as I dont want to waste it as there really not much but the colour on the front looks nice. The letter I got with the package described this as ripe apricot glides on with a kiss of soft shimmer!

3) finally there is a sachet of John Frieda weather works style sealant creme, to defy weather 365 days a year. Will have to take this on holiday with me incase my hair goes frizzy in the sun.

For £1 I think this could be fun, you can get different prodcts every month and you recieve a notification when you can replace your order, so check it out if you want some trials.

Below is some new skin care products I have picked up recently, on the left is the boots botanicals eye make up removal, this is sooo good, take my eye makeup off so easily, before I was using the simple make up remover and that took a lot longer with cottom pads, now I only have to use 1 per eye, This was only about £3 so Im going to stock up and take some away to remove waterproof mascara easily.

In the middle is the Clean & Clear deep action cream wash, this was also around £3 from Wilkinsons, I got this as in the last few weeks my nose broke out in spots, my own fault for eating alot of chocolate and sweets over a few days but this really helped clear them up within a few days so Im using it daily at the moment, It has a tingly sensation when you wash it off which I like, makes it feel like its working :)

On the right is the Garnier clean and fresh cleansing wash, again about £3 from wilkinsons, this is lovely, been using it in the mornings recently and it feels really refreshing and nice, and smells lovely and fruity.

I really like all these products and would recommend them all!

Lastly, I saw this Malibu moonlight shimmer wash off bronzer ina magazine and was wondering if anyone else had used it? I want a wash off bronzer to take away with me as I dont tan well and want something I can put on in the evenings, I have tried others such as the Loreal one and found the colour too dark for me and very messy. The best I have found before is the FCUK Tan your hide one but I am nearly out of that and havent seen it in Boots recently. Leave me a comment if you have any idea what the malibu ones like :)

10 things I cant live without!

Here is a list of 10 things I cant live without in my life, thought it would be a good way for my followers to get to know more about me :)

1. My treadmill, I have used it daily for the last 6 months or so and iv noticed a definate difference in my fitness, and I have some new muscles in my legs. It was expensive and it takes up my whole bedroom floor but I couldn't be without it now.

2. My laptop, as without it I couldn't read all your blogs :)

3. My phone, it keeps me in contact and fills in the boredom at work with the internet, I have the blackberry bold now and I love it.

4. My car, I drive a black vauxhall corsa and I love it, had it since october, before tht I had a renault clio but it had a leak from the sun roof which was annoying and even after taking it back 3 times it was still happening so I traded it in for a new corsa, gets me to work, uni and my boyfriends and I'd be lost without a car now.

5. My glasses, over the last few years I seem to have become nearly blind, before tht I had great vision but nw every year my prescription is gettin worse :(

6. Books and magazines, I love reading, I much prefer it to watching tv and I'm always upset when I have nothing around to read.

7. My family and my boyfriend, I'm really close to my mum and my younger sister who's 17, ther both great, and I have been with my boyfriend Nick since october 2006, we practically live together but just spend our nights at either mine or his as we can't afford to get our own place yet.

8. Smints, a bit of a random one but I love them and eat them a bit obsessively.

9. Primark, I LOVE that shop, cant go in without buying something, havent been in a bout 2 weeks as im trying to curb my spending before I go away but I do plan to go this week and Im excited!!

10. Facebook, now this really annoys me but I cant imagine life without it now :/ how sad.

T J Hughes buys

Just a quick post about yet another few things Ive bought from T J Hughes this week, they have some Elizabeth Arden products in at the moment, theres a really nice little foldable pallete with a blusher and a few eye shadows, a lipgloss and a airbrush bronzer, all around £6 from what I can remember. Anyway, I picked up this Shimmer powder called everything glows which was also £6, its in a really nice little compact with a mirror and a fancy top as in the photo below:

This is a photo of the powder with the flash, not a very good one but you get the idea, its very shimmery but makes a great highlighter. It also came with a little kabuki style brush which I also love, although I have a few elizabeth arden ones already from buying bronzers and they all tend to shred quickly which I am disappointed about when the products are expensive.

This is it on the right without the flash, looks a lot darker than it is, and the brush.

On the left is a lovely blusher I also got from there which is w7, it was £1.50 and comes with a little flat brush which I havent really been bothering with. It looks very dark on the photo but its a really flattering shade for me as its a nice rosey pink colour.

A few nail varnishs

This top one is the Barry M fuschia nail paint which I won thanks to The Yummy mummys giveaway, I love this colour and it lasted quite well, although I tend to chew my nails alot which means that usually within a day its flaking off at the tops which is very annoying but my own fault, but this withstood it for longer than most :)

I finally got round to using the Eyeko pastel polish which I got ages ago from superdrug, I didnt use it for ages as when I bought it I had acrylics on and wanted to wait untill I took them off. I really love the colour and the consistency and Ive used it a few times now and it also lasts well. Although I have noticed that it has a really strong smell, has anyone else noticed this? my mum said it was enough to make her woozy lol. Definatly worth a few quid.

Finally, this one is from T J Hughes, the make is Vivo and it cost me 99p, this is part of the french manicure range they do and this is the nude pink, the photo doesnt show it well but its a really nice nude shade and better quality than I expected from a cheap 99p range product. I am loving the bargains at T J Hughes at the moment, everyone should check it out if they have a store near them :)

I finally got a Ped-egg, £9.99 from Wilkinsons, Ive been wanting one for ages but thought they were abit pricey, but then they got a pink one and I just had to buy it, I was abit apprehensive at first but I think its great and my feet definately feel smoother even after only using it about 3 times! Plus its pink :)

I also got this Clinique set from Boots, I think it was around £26, so its really just paying for the Dramitically different moisturising lotion and getting a trial size of the clarifying lotion and face wash free, I have been using this every day since and Im nearly out of the trial ones but I think they work really well, my face has cleared up and my skin feels alot softer and alot less dry. Im planning on getting the full size version of the Clarifying lotion next week which is £13.70 according to the Clinique website.

Lastly, is the Boots expert Total body anti-cellulite cream. I LOVE this, been using it for weeks now and I have definatly seen a difference, Im even on to my second bottle now! definately worth the £6 or so that it costs!

Primark nail varnish / False nails

I used this primark £1 nail varnish for the first time the other day and I think the colour is gorgeous and It lasted well, I took it off after 2 days but it lasted well for such a cheap product, I would recommend this!

After taking off the acrylic nails, my nails are abit of a mess so I got some press on false nails for £2.99 from Wilkinsons and this was the result, they were really good, They were still on after 5 days but then I pulled them off cos I got bored but really good for the price, I would definately buy these again.

Holiday bits!

So Ive been meaning to do a post for the past week or so but things kept happening and I had no time, such as the boyfriend losing his job :( and me being stuck at mine.

Anyway, I finally got a suitcase, Its a lovely pink one, and Im very sad cos Iv already packed it, even though Im going no where until july. This is the end result, still got lots to fit in yet too...

I also got the below toiletries bag from T K maxx which I love, such a nice pattern, It has zipped compartments inside so I can fit all of my bits and pieces in it, Iv packed that too :)

Next was a trip to Primark, I was good and only bought 2 things for once, this dress for £5 which is gorgeous on, really flattering and light for summer.

And these sandels which were £13, they were also avaliable in brown and black, I have been back since and there was one pair on the shelf so I think these have been very popular, I think they will be great for summer and I also think they look alot better on.

Whilst in T K Maxx I found this red case full of Korres sun care products for £7.99, I have since seen this on the website for £17.50! It has spf 30 facial suncream, which smells like watermelons, a watermelon body scrub and a yogurt cooling gel, with real natural yogurt in it for after being in the sun. Bargain. Taking this away with me to Greece! T K maxx seems to have some good stuff in at the moment.

My Blackberry! I love it, trully converted.
The Boots expert total body anti- cellulite cream. This is definatly having some effect, my mum even told me my thighs look slimmer, have been using it twice a day for the last 2 weeks or so, need to buy another tomorrow as Iv nearly used it up!
Still loving the Palmers fake tan!
Simple intense moisturising cream! amazing, Im not itchy at all and have not had an eczema flaring up whilst using it!
My elizabeth arden mineral powder! used this alot then went off it for a while but now I love it again, using it every day at the moment.

The fact that Monarch airlines are doing a ballot to go on strike in july! My flight to Greece in July is with them :(
Having no money! credit cards being used a bit too much at the moment.
Working when the weathers nice like it was yesterday! I didnt get too see any sun.
Weak nails! Finally prised the acrylics off a few days ago and my nails have died!
Having no room for anything! I need to get some storage for stuff.
Facebook - I seem to spend my life checking facebook and I actually find it really annoying now.

Primarks new make up range!

primark has a whole new beauty range in! I went in today and the place was heaving but I still got some bits :) It seemed to beover 4 different ranges, there was the ordinary £1 range in new packaging, a glam one, a spa one and one tht had lotsa expenisve looking packaging and cool things like false lash effect mascars.

this is an eyebrow kit, it has 2 shades of brown, ones a powder and the darker ones more of a cream and it comes with 2 little brushes, this was £1.

This nail varnish was also £1, it doesnt have a name but its a corally colour, great for summer and quite similar to the Rimmel one I bought the other day.

This is great, it was £2.50 and is very similar to the Benefit one, the pic below is the box it comes in and its called 'The happy couple' duo bronzer and blusher! comes with the little brush aswell!

Next is this blusher brush which was £1.50, it really soft but I dont think its as sturdy as I like.

This is a massaging soap, which was £1.50, thought this would be worth a try for smooth legs before the summer.

These clips were £1, I know they arent make up but I thought they were really cute :)

This bronzer brush was £1.

This body spray is from the spa range and it smells gorgeous but the smell didnt last for long, I think it was £2.

This is a wash off bronzer, its really golden and shimmery and I plan to use it when I go on holiday, this was also £2.

I got the cutest beach towel in there aswell, it was £4.40, and is covered in lollies! matches my jelly sandels I got last week.

I popped into superdrug aswell and got the Gosh salt water spray, it was buy any 2 gosh professional products for £5.99 so I got the damage control shampoo aswell, which saved me about £3.50, I havent tried either yet but Iv read lotsa good reviews about the sea salt spray so wish me look with it.

Nivea tinted moisturiser

I got this last week from Boots and I already completely love it! Its not too dark and I have been wearing it the last few days and I dont feel the need to wear much else, not even concealer, all i have been using additionally on my skin is blusher! for under £6 I would recommend it too you all!!

Yesterday I did abit of shopping, I got this gorgeous rimmel nail varnish in goldmine coral, the photos dont really do it much justice with or without the flash, this was £2.25 from wilkinsons and I think it will be perfect for the summer and my holiday, cant wait to try it when these acrylic nails decide to come off!

I also got this olay face tanner free with cosmopolitan, which looks good, might try this tonight.

I gave in yesterday and got a new phone, I have said in older blogs I wanted a blackberry so I finally got one, it was very expensive but I see it as my treat for getting through my exams! I got the Blackberry bold 9000, its reallly good so far, the cameras not much cop as its only 2mp compared to the 5mp one on my nokia but I have a good digital camera so it doesnt bother me 2 much! This is the back which has a leather effect..

And this is the front, I love the look of Blackberry's and I think I might already be converted after just a day :)

I also picked this box up in Morrisons when doing the food shopping, it was about £3.99 and Iv got it to shove all my creams and bits in as at the moment they are all just thrown around my room as I have no storage space!

I also got this from Boots in my last haul blog I said I had got a packet of this face mask, and I used it that night and thought it was really good and didnt bother my eczema and left my skin feeling really fresh so I got this which was just under £3 so I can keep on using it.

Lastly I went back into T.J.hughes and got yet more of the eye shadow palletes while they are still there as I think they are amazing for £1.29 each and I love the colour sets. I also got the lipgloss for 99p which is amazing, smells gorgeous and is the perfect corally colour with just the right amount of shimmer and the blusher which again was 99p which is the perfect shade for me, going to go stock up again this week :)

Loreal Telescopic explosion mascara

So I used the Loreal Telescopic explosion mascara in black today for the first time, It has a cool little round brush which I found really easy to use.

I really think it works well, Im good at ending up with mascara all over my face after applying it which can be annoying but with this one I didnt get any anywhere other than on my lashes, It worked just as well as my max factor false lash effect and I think im definatly going to keep using it. Its on offer cheap at superdrug at the moment as the introductory price so pick it up soon!

I went shopping today after work today to treat myself abit after finishing my exams, I got this gosh bronzer from Superdrug for about £13, its called the giant sun powder and its really nice and golden. The pics are shut and open.

These sprays are really fruity and 88p buy 1 get 1 free, just thought they would be nice and cheap to take on holiday, these are from superdrug aswell.

I got this face mask from boots,im sturggling to sort out the eczema tht came up the other day, doesnt seem 2 be calming down at all so I thought this might be soothing and will get rid of the spots I got stressing about my exams and it was about 98p.

I got this after seeing it on pheobe's finds blog, was £5.86 from boots, its quite dark but im gonna give it a try when my face clears up as at the moment all of my make up is just clinging to my dry skin and being patchy :(.

Whilst in superdrug I picked up my fave mascare the max factor false lash effect in black waterprrof to take on holiday, got it now while its still on offer.

This is a simple derma intensive relief lotion which was £2.99 in boots after having 1/3 off, it says its great for eczema sufferers and itscheap so worth a try, this is a big 400ml bottle, hope its good.

I love my vasaline lip pots so I got this one from boots for myholiday as it has spf 15, it was £1.69, I payed for all my boots things with points though as I had about £15 pounds worth.

I have seen this next Loreal mascara on alot of blogs so I grabbed it at the check outs in superdrug as it was only about £5.50 or something, but have got home and realised its in brown as I didnt think to check at the checkout, just grabbed it so going to take it back and try and change it for a black one tomorrow.

I went into Wilkinsons and got some sudacrem for my spots, had to replace my other pot as my mum took it and used it on my nephews bum :/

Lastly, I got some sun cream from wilkos aswell, a 400ml sun cream in spf 30 which was £4.99, I got 2 of these ready for my holidays and got 2 free 200ml bottles of aftersun, I used these sun creams last year and they work just as well as the more expensive makes and I would really recommend you check them out, theres all spfs and you can get spray bottles too.

Ive had a good root through some piles of stuff in my room and found some interesting stuff I forgot I had. First up is the Too Faced wrinkle injection, I bought this last year as I have bad frown lines on my forehead, I seem to be frowning all the time and even at 20 they are already quite bad. Never got round to using it yet though.

This is the Revlon skin lights which has spf 15 and is in the shade 01 golden light, this was too dark my skin but it blends quite nicely.

this is the Nivea goodbye cellulite lotion. I loved this product last year and this tube is nearly empty, I was going to buy another tube recently but I got the nivea my silhouette instead this time when they were both half price at Boots, Im going away in less than 2 months so Im back on the quest for smooth non bumpy legs so Im hoping it will work as well.

I found alot of random eye shadows, I really like the opia (primark) duo which is a lovely light blue and green,will save that for summer and all of that range only costs 98p each! I also found a bourjois eye shadow in shade 92 which is a dark shimmery grey which is great for smokey eyes, completely forgot id bought this so im happy with that.

This is from primark again, it says blusher on the front but its very brown so its definatly more of a bronzer, this is pretty dark but I used it on a night out when I wanted more make up and it was quite good for 98p.

I found my too faced lash injection which I used to really like, its a bit clumpy and takes ages to get off but apart from that it gave lots of volume, I would use it again if it wasnt so expensive. These brushes are both primark I think, think the brown one might be from somewhere else but it has no name on it anywhere. Theres also a brand new rimmer kohl pencil in demin blue.

I love these 2 nail varnishes, the pink is a great shade and its 98p from primark, and the blues La femme beauty.

I found this california tan bronzer, I got this from superdrug ages ago when the range was reduced, its good quality but too dark for me. The next is a bobbypin bronzer that I picked up in the christmad sales in boots and shoved in a drawer and forgot about, this looks like a great shade for me and Im going to use it next time I do my make up.

I havent got a clue where these have come from, think they were xmas presents , they are both Victoria Jackson palletes, the larger one is the color collection and the smaller is the baby doll color kit, going to put these to some use as the eyeshadows and blushers look really good.

This is a different version of dry shampoo, I got this from a cheap shop, cant remember its name but this was about 89p, its the same concept as say batiste but without the spray can, its just the loose powder and you just put it on and rub it in, for the price this is ok but messy as it always eems to go everywhere.

This eye pallete on the top is from Primark, I think it was about £1.99 and I got it around christmas when they had the gift ranges in, they are relaly nice shades and they do the job but the powder can go everywhere, worth the money though. The one below was from woolworths when they were open, not sure of the make, its just called the luxury eye shadow palette, this has gorgeous colours and Im glad I found it.

Just thought Id shove this next one in as a recommendation for anyone who suffers from eczema, This is aloe vera gel and I got this for a few quid from Holland and Barrett and it really soothes the skin.

This is another product from the Elle macpherson the body range, it is called the skin smooth massager, Im going to get using this asap ready for my holiday.

I picked this up from Lush after reading that it makes shaving really smooth and painless as with my eczema I find shaving brings me out in a rash every time and I hoped this would help calm down my skin, I use this once and found no difference so it hasnt been used again :(

Thats about it for now, I love going through stuff Id forgotten about.

Primark haul, fake tan & reaction

I have just had my last uni exam of the year this morning so Im free to make blogs without feeling guilty that Im not revising :) so firstly heres some bits I got from Primark for the summer as I have just booked my holiday to Lindos in Greece for July!

These pink glasses are so cute and were only a few quid!

and I got these jelly sandals, I had these last year in a different pattern and they were perfect on the beach and in the sea so I got these as soon as I saw them for £3! and I just love the ice looly pattern on them

I got this necklace which came with matching earrings for just £2, its so pretty and looks like it would cost alot more,I love it.

This dress was from the nightwear but I want to wear it as a summer dress, I think ill get away with it as its not too sea through and can be pulled off as a proper dress. This cost £4.

This top has halter neck straps that are the same pattern as the bottom bit of the top and this was £3.

I have so many fake tans, every time I try something new I tend to find a problem with it and never use it again, so today I dug out all the ones I could find to show you the extent of how many I have bought and what I thought about them, I have really dry skin so what doesnt work for me might be completely different for you as I find St. Tropez doesnt work for me but on my friend looks amazingly real and brown.

Below are the garnier summer body (good), Loreal sublime bronze (orange), garnier after sun with tan prolonger.

Above is Johnsons holiday skin (ok), st tropez everyday face (made me itchy), fake bake mouse (itchy and patchy due to dry skin, otherise good colour), xen tan face (really good), xen tan body (good), fake bake lotion (good), dove (ok), st tropez lotion (orange n patchy), clarins delicious (really good), clarins face (really good), st tropez mouse (orange on me), palmers natural bronze (really good), loreal sublime bronze airbrush (good when I use the fair one, good coverage), Olay tannign moisturisor (ok but made me itchy), garnier face (didnt do much), loreal face (didnt do much), make believe facial tanner with winter barrier (good), st tropez everyday body in fair (good, only st tropez product that doesnt mess up for me.) All in all Id say the best are the palmers, xen tan and clarins but the last two are expensive.

I also have the st tropez aero bronze somewhere that I got for about £8 from T.K.Maxx but that came out awful and was so patchy, probably as I sprayed myself, might have been better if I had help.

I also found this nail varnish, im not sure where its from, have a feeling it might be new look but I love the colour and Im going to keep it out ready for the summer.

I bought this from Superdrug the other day for about £2.50, it is the Palmers cocoa butter formula moisturizing body oil as I have been using alot of palmers products recently and thought they were working well. It said on the bottle you could put 1 or 2 capfuls in your bath to make it very soothing anf moisturising, I did this and it felt fine then yesterday morning I woke up and eczema had appeared all over me when I had had it under control for the past few months, My face was awful and still feels sore and bumpy now, my eyes puffed up so I could hardly see and my cheeks really flared up, this clamed down a few hours after getting up but all I can think is that this caused the flare up as I did not use or eat anything else that I dont usually do, Iv added some photos of my cheeks that I took yesterday afternoon, this was after it had gone down quite abit after using creams and plus the lighting doesnt really work but you get the idea, so I would say that if anyone suffers from eczema be careful if you want to use this product.

What made you choose your blog/twitter/YouTube username?
Because I like to use make up so it made sense.

What's your actual name?
Rebecca and my middle name is Beth, no reason for either other than my mum and dad liked them both.

Do you have any nicknames?
Becky, Becks, Noodle (one day at uni someone said I needed a nickname and said that for no reason and it stuck with my uni friends)

Apart from the obvious make up / beauty hobby, what other hobbies do you have?
Nothing really, I love reading, I do it all the time. I would love to travel, I would like to do it after I finish uni next year over the summer, but that all depends on money and my boyfriend.

What do you do?
I am a Law student just coming to the end of my 2nd year. Truthfully I don’t enjoy it but I don’t want to give up now and I know having any degree can help get better paid jobs so I’m sticking with it for now. I work part time in a shop as well which also drives me mad.

What would you like to do?
I would like to go into banking or something along those lines, not 2 sure yet.

Tell us something embarrassing, but that you love doing?
Erm, cant really think of anything right now except maybe the fact I love driving round with my music really loud in my car while I sing at the top of my voice, I always panic and turn it down when cars pull up next to me in case they think ‘ weird though

Tell us a little something that we don't already know about you.
I use the treadmill every day, If I don’t I feel really guilty and have to go on even if its just for 10minutes to make myself feel better :/

What achievement are you most proud of?
Getting to uni, getting and keeping my job, that’s about it at the moment.

when I set my mind to something, I tend to do it.

What would you change about yourself if you could?
Id like to be more confident as I’m really shy, Id like to be taller so my legs could be longer, and of course Id like to be rich.

My Make up and stuff

This blog is of the stuff I have with me and in my make up bag at the moment, to get an idea of what I use..

This is the elizabeth arden 8 hour cream, I dont reallyknow why I bought this as it was expensive and I didnt need it, I think it was something at boots like buy 2 products and get loads of points and this was my extra thing.

These are the bronzers from ym make up bag, left to right they are the fcuk bronzer, elizabeth arden bronzing shimmer powder in golden and the elizabeth arden pure finish mineral bronzing powder in medium. I prefer the mineral one the most. At the bottom is the eyeko bronzing cream.

This is the eye shadows, the top 3 palletes are the make up acadamy cheap ones from T.J.Hughes which I have mentioned before, I went back and got 2 more cos I really like them. I also have in there 2 mac powders in mulch and woodwinked and a paintpot in blackground.

This the mascaras and eyeliners, I have the maybelline great lash which was my fave untill the max factor false lash effect and theres also the elizabeth arden mini. I have the mac liner in Teddy, a tiny leftover bit of a rimmel kohl liner, a primark eye crayon which was 98p and works great as a smokey eye liner!! and a liquid liner which is outdoor girl cosmetics from T.J.Hughes.

This is foundations and concealers, theres aldi's lacura concealer pen which i love and there lacura foundation in transparent which again for the price is amazingly good. I have the Rimmel hide the blemish concealer, have been using this for years, and an asda concealer which cost 99p and is just as good if not better as its paler and works better on my skin tone. I have a tester of Clarins true comfort foundation which is an spf 15 and in the shade 05, this isnt the right colour for me, the woman matched it up but I think its too orange for me and isnt wearable. Next is the No7 stay perfect foundation in cream, and again I got this in a too dark shade so I dont really use it. The one I use most is the elizabeth arden pure finish mineral powder foundation, I have this in 02, Its about £22 but im already on my 2nd pot and I really like it.

Brushes next, I have the mac 217, underneath it is a w7 one which was about £2.50 and I tend to use that one more for applying eyeshadows. On the left is a w7 foundation brush that needs cleaning, an elizabeth arden puff thing and 2 elizabeth arden kabuki brushes and the elizabeth arden brush for the powder foundation, it was £15 but its so soft and shaped just right for the product. If you have the foundation I would really recommend you get this specific brush too!

Blushes and highlighters, there are 2 primark products here, there cheek and lip tint and their highlighter, both 99p, I like the highlighter but the tint is a bit too dark. In the centre is the aldi blusher in sunset, this is really good and really good quality for the price. Theres the victoria beckham highlighter I got the other day which so far is rubbish and the N.y.c blusher that broke and I havent got round to throwing it out yet.

I had 2 nail varnishes with me, the eyeko pastel polish and La femme beauty one in purple passion, that one was only about £2 off a beauty stall in Bury.

This is lip products, theres one thats Astor in the shade 100, another cheapo one from T.J.Hughes which in is naked pearl, theres photos of these in older blogs, Natural collection moisture shine lipstick in apple blossom, T.J.Hughes make up academy one in Champagne which is a lovely corally pink one and was only 99p! I also have the vaseline rosy lips pot which I love and use every day and Nivea SOS lip balm and the too faced lip injection, this stings like hell but does work!!

This is a close up of the colour of the aldi sunset blusher, it comes with a little applicator brush but I dont think its worth using.

Just some other bits I had with me now, these are from Superdrug and they are tea tree cleansing pads, using these at the moment as Im really stressed and dont want my skin too break out.

This is the make up academy lipstick with the flash.

This is the batiste dry shampoo! I use this so much and I love it, I usually use the original one but its on offer at asda for £1 at the moment so I thought Id try the rose blush one but I dont really like the smell so once this is use up im going back to the original one. They do a tropical one too and that smells gorgeous but they didnt have any in when I went :(.

New stuff

This morning I found a bag in my room with some new stuff in I bought a few weeks ago and promptly forgot about so here it is:

I got this Nair hair removal cream from Boots as I have ezcema and thought this might work well for me as shaving makes my skin really really itchy, i have tried veet and that had the same effect, so I am going to try this tomorrow.

I got this mud mask from T.K.Maxx for £4.99, the day I got this I put a little patch on my face to check it didnt give me a rash or anything and then never got round to using it again, Might try it tonight to de-stress me before another exam tomorrow.

It looks really discusting, its proper mud :/

Today I was in uni for another exam and I thought I would try out my elizabeth Arden mini mascara that I got in my free gift bag. Its the double density maximum volume mascara. Its got a nice thick brush and it did work well but I still prefer my max factor false lash effect, especially when its alot cheaper.

Just an update on the Palmers fake tan again, used it again last night and thought Id show you the colour, the photos a bit crap but you the idea, im usually very pale so this looks really tanned on me :).

If you click on the photo and see it full size you can see the colour better as my blog template seems to lighten the photos.

Palmers gradual fake tan moisturiser

Just a quick post before I go for my exam in a few hours :(, I used the palmers gradual fake tan last night and I have to say that these gradual ones have a tendancy to be just as dark on me as proper fake tans for some reason even when i dont use alot. It was darker this morning than I was expecting but it really is one of the best fake tan colours ive ever ended up with,not orange at all,only problem is as I wasnt expecting it to be so dark I just slathered it on without much care and now I have slightly patchy hands where it wasnt blended properly but now I know I can sort that out tonight if I apply another coat, and it smells gorgeous, like chocolate. Definatly going to keep on using this!!

Avoiding revision!

I have been shopping today when I really shouldnt have as my exams start 2mro, I really did need some pens so at least I did something productive, Just a quick look at the bits I bought then back to revision for me :(
First though two pairs of shoes Iv just found under my bed that Id forgotten about which made me feel abit better, the first I bought a few weeks ago ready for summer from a little shoe shop near Manchester and the second I bought last year from Dorothy Perkins in the sale and never wore so Im keeping them out now ready for summer!

I went into Boots and got this first lipstick from Natural collection, Its a moisture shine one in Apple Blossom, I saw this in a nother blog and really wanted it,its a nude shade and I really like it and it only cost £1.95.

The second I got from T.J.Hughes, Im not sure where else has these shops but I went to the Rochdale one and picked this up from there for 99p!! Its in Naked pearl and its such a pretty pink.

Also whilst in T.J.Hughes I saw they had loads of Victoria Beckham blushers and Highlighters for £2 each. This one is called 105: Precious Hope but there were loads of other nice shades from shimmery whites to really dark blushers. It says on the box that it is to be used to sculpt the face so Im going to give it a try. Its a really nice pinky shade but the container is so small. Never knew she had her own make up before, has anyone else used it?

T.J.Hughes again for this eye shadow pallete, the case says make up academy and Im not sure if this is sold anywhere else, this was £1.29 I think and I just thought the shades and the pigmentation of these was really good and similar to the mac ones that I am using so I got this to test them against those and for a handy palette to carry around with me to work and uni.

I also popped into Boots and got this Garnier clean and soft caring toner.I use the make up remover from this range and I love it so I thought I would give this a try. It says that it has the essense of rose but I cant really smell it. Its suitable for dry and sensitive skin so hopefully this will be fine for me.

I also got the Palmer's gradual tanning moisturizer, I keep reading peoples reviews of this and I really like the normal body cream they do so Im hoping this will be good, I am going to apply it tonight so hopefully tomorrow I will be lovely and bronzed :).

Back to revising for now :(

Tresemme treatment masque

Just an update to say that I used the Tresemme 'reconstructing deep conditioning' treatment masque in the shower yesterday, I bought this after seeing it in one of Lollipop26's videos and she recommended it. It cost me less than a fiver and you get a huge 500ml pot. It says that it is for extra dry brittle hair, mine isnt extra dry or brittle but I thought it could do with some extra conditioning as I use heated appliances on it so often.

It says to leave it on towel dried hair for up to 5 mins, I only left it for about 2 and a half mins because I am impatient but I have to say that even after that my hair feels sooo lovely and soft and it straightened really easily afterwards. I would really recommend this product, its cheap and it really works.

I have just been playing around with some eye make up, anything to avoid doing any revision ( exams start on tuesday :/ ) and I thought I would put up some photos of the outcome, will keep this on if I go out tonight. I used my max factor false lash effect mascara which is the best mascara I have ever used! I look really miserable in the bottom photo, must be the reivison :(

The main products that I use most days are in the photo above and they are:

There is alot of moisturisers there but I have really dry skin and eczema so I have to use alot.

The make up remover works really well on my skin, its really soft and I just use a cotton wool pad and all of my make up comes off easily.

I havent been using the Nivea Q10 lotion for long so I dont know whether its had much of an effect but I really like nivea moisturisers.

The natural beauty radiance boosting moisturiser is really good, It leaves an almost sparkly finish which make up goes on really nicely. This photo shows my face without any foundation or anything.

The daily scrub is nice aswell, the beads in it arent too big but I dont use it every day as I think that would irritate my skin too much as it flairs up easily.

The nivea my silloheaute hasnt been used for long, less than a week, my skin feels softer but no other difference as yet. It was half price at Boots so about £5.50 so I thought Id give it a try before summer.

The Garnier nutritionist cream is great, it smells gorgeous, like lemons and other fruits and it makes my face feel really fresh.

The Boots anti itch soother is great, as Ive said I have eczema and I used it on my legs the other day when they were driving me mad with itching and within 5 mins they felt fine and Id stopped itching :) miracle.

The astral moisturiser is what I carry around with me for during the day, its really thick and really does the job.

I got this product from Boots last year and I havent seen it since but the Boots in my town is quite small so it might still be avaliable in the larger stones. Its an Elle Macpherson 'the body' Toned body treatment. It is with australian ginger and sea algae and I used it loads last year and I thought it was much better than any of the other products like this that I have tried, and after use it leaves the skin feeling really tight and tingly as if it starts working straight away.

I picked this up in Superdrug a few days ago to use when I am using my conical wand, it smells really nice and it was less than £5, I havent used it yet though.

Exams!! they end on the 12th May thank god, but revisions driving me mad at the moment.

My Job! 7am starts are not the way to go.
