Latest bits

I was in Asda the other day and noticed they had their own make up range, It was 99p an item so I picked up come concealer and a lipstick. The lipsticks a very pale silvery pink, I’m not sure why I chose this as its not something I would actually wear out. The concealer is great though, I usually use the Rimmel cover stick and I think this works just as well if not better, I got the paler shade and Its just right for me as I’m pale and it covers under my eyes really well. concealer on the left, lipstick on the right.

I watched two different youtube videos about this product and thought it looked interesting so yesterday I bought it.
It’s the eyeko Tinted cream, I picked this up from Superdrug for £4.99, you get a lot in the tub and so far I have hardly used any, it works well for highlighting cheekbones, or lack of in my case. I followed Lollipop26’s instructions on how to put this on for this use and I really like it. I think this is really worth the money as it looks like its gonna last for ages. I also got the Eyeko pastel polish which is a really pale blue shade. It looks really nice but I haven’t used it yet as I have these acrylic nails on. (which are really bugging me by the way)

I wrote about the N.Y.C blusher colour wheel I recently bought, just thought I would let you know it has completely broken up after I have only used it about 4 times, I’m disappointed because I liked the colour a lot and I only kept it in my make up bag so it must of broken really easily.

I did pick up another great cheap product thought the other day, a £2 lipstick from a beauty stall, The makes Astor and in shade 100 which is a gorgeous pale pink coral colour and I love it, been wearing it ever since. It smells really nice too and the container says it has a soft sensation and vitamin and collagen which sounds good too me.

with and without flash.

Xen Tan

I had heard about xen tan in magazines before but never seen it in the shops so I never bothered with it but having gone through soo many makes of fake tan trying to find one to suit me I thought id buy some. I ordered mine from Ideal World, the shopping channel as they had the full size body and face for £29.99 and £4.95 postage which was cheaper than what I could find on any other websites. It took over 2 weeks to arrive though which is rubbish as they say they deliver everything within 10 days.

I used it 2 days ago and I really like it, Im really pale and tend to go orange but its a lovely brown colour, and also I have eczema and this hasnt made me sore and itchy like alot of other makes tend to do. I got the Deep bronze Luxe which has a time release formula.

I would definatly use this again.

Birthday bits

It was my birthday yesterday and I got some make up from my mum.

I got this eye shadow box from Front cover, she said she got it from Boots but cant remember the price, but she doesnt think it was too exensive. I used this yesterday and I think its great, the shadows are good quality and I would say they work just as good as any Mac eye shadows that I have. It comes with a liquid that you can use to make any of the eye shadows into liquid eye liners which I think is genius. She also got me a gift set from FCUK which had a lip gloss, body dpray and make up bag in it and this bronzer -

Its really nice and doesnt look orange at all which I love as Im naturally really pale and I find that some bronzers look really orange on my face even when I buy expensive ones.

I also got some acylic nails done, Id wanted some for ages but now they are really annoying me and I cant do anything like send a txt lol.

Babyliss conical wand

I recently ordered a babyliss rebel conical wand 32mm - 19mm from Amazon as I had watched a video on youtube by Lollipop26 where she recommended it and I love having wavy hair so I thought I would give it a try. It cost me about 29.95 and that included postage and packaging and it arrived after 2 days.

This is the wand when it arrived :) I have used it every day since as I love it that much. I have also found that if I wash and dry my hair I dont have to straighten it at all, I can just use this and it works really well, plus without the straightening first the waves have alot more volume. I would recommend this to anyone, there are different sizes avaliable for different hair lengths and thicknesses.

Sorry the pics crap :(

Elizabeth Arden

I visited the Elizabeth Arden counter in Boots yesterday to get some Pure Finish mineral powder Foundation (£22) which I have had before in the shade 04, its a really good foundation and is good for my dry skin, its really light and gives a natural finish, and my other make up such as bronzers go on easily on top of it. I replaced it with shade 02 this time as I have pale skin and this suited me better.

Boots had an offer where if you buy 2 things from Elizabeth Arden you could get a free gift which contained £50 of travel sized products, so I also bought the Pure finish mineral bronzing powder in Medium (£22), which again is a really good product, it is avaliable in 3 shades, light, medium and dark.
So of course I was given the free gift :)

This was a gold make up/travel bag containing a travel size bronzing powder duo, lipstick in ruby pearl, Double density maximum volume mascara in black, eight hour cream hand treatment, Intervene 3 in 1 daily cleanser exfoliator primer and Intervene stress recovery night cream.

So far I have used the night cream and the 3 in 1 product, I really like them both, the night cream is really nice, only 15ml of it so Im going to try and make it last as best as I can for the time being.

I also bought a Color wheel blusher from N.Y.C (New york colour) from Morrisons. It is called Pink cheek glow and there were a few other shades. It only cost £2.93 and I really like the colours, they blend together really nicely and dont look too strong on my face. The photo of it on was taken with the flash.

Anyone else tryed this product?

Mac Makeover

Today I went to the Mac counter in the House of Fraser and had a consultation, I had to pay a £25 booking fee but that was redeemable back on any products I bought. I asked for a natural look i could wear every day using different eye shadows but I just ended up trying different shades of brown.

The products which were used on me were:

Eyes

Prep + Prime eye in light
Eye shadows : Mulch, Woodwinked, Charcoal brown & Bisque
Eye kohl crayon in Teddy

Skin

Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 foundation in NC20
Select cover up in NC20
Blushcreme in Posey

Lips

Lip pencil in Dervish
Lustreglass lipgloss in Wonderstruck

I really liked the eye shadows, he applied the Bisque under my eyebrows as a highlighter and over my whole eyelid and then applied the Woodwinked all over my eyelid, then Mulch in the far corners to add some depth, he then applied the charcoal brown into the creases in my eyes to darken them some more for a more smoky eyed look. The kohl pencil was put along my top and bottom lashes and blended with the 217 blending brush. I thought this would look good for during the day and the evening as more kohl pencil would be added to darken up the eyes.

A primer was put all over my face and then he used the 189 face brush to apply the foundation all over my face, it had a lovely matt finish and an spf 15, this was good for my skin as it wasnt too heavy.I suffer from dry skin and this didnt cling to any patches on my face and it felt fresh. I didnt buy this though as yesterday I bought some elizabeth arden pure finish mineral powder foundation and I am going to use that up first. He then applied concealer around my eyesto cover any shadows, then a highlighter to the tops of my cheeks (sorry I havent got down what shade this was, but it was a pale pink colour), then the creme blush which I found a bit too much for me, I prefer a powder blush so I dont feel my face is clogged up during the day but it was a lovely colour and I would wear it without the layer of foundation underneath it.

During this I kept on my own mascara, which is the Max Factor False lash effect in Black which I also LOVE.

This all took about 30mins and I went on to buy:

Eye shadows in Mulch and Woodwinked, kohl pencil in Teddy,Paint pot in Blackground and a 217 blending brush for the eye shadows. I would recommend the brush, it is very soft and makes the eye shadow blend into your eyelid smoothly and gives a really nice finish.
